COMMERCIAL FIELD SUPERVISOR

Viking Kitchen Cabinets, LLC is a leading supplier of kitchen and bath cabinetry and countertops in the southern New England market. Our Commercial Group specializes in renovation and new construction commercial projects of all sizes providing service and support from the beginning to the end of the project.

Job Scope:

The overall objective of this position is to provide on site leadership for commercial project deliveries and supervise employees and subcontractors to ensure that product is delivered efficiently, installation progresses smoothly and that all punch list items are wrapped up. The position reports to the Senior Project Manager.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for onsite field supervision and customer interaction on all ongoing projects.
  2. Oversee the delivery process and distribution of materials to the proper location including supervision of employees on site, temporary labor and subcontractors.
  3. Coordinate scheduling of delivery and installation with the Commercial Team.
  4. Report and resolve any issues that arise on site.
  5. Be responsible for ensuring accuracy of delivery and reporting and replacing missing and damaged items.
  6. Assist with field measurement, take offs and quoting when necessary.
  7. Become knowledgeable in product lines and vendor practices and policies.

Expected job output:

  1. Attendance at all necessary on and off site meetings.
  2. Take on site responsibility for all materials and installation for assigned projects.
  3. Communicate relevant information regarding receipt of material with Commercial Team.
  4. Handle all communication with customers as required by the Commercial Team.
  5. Working knowledge of Outlook, spreadsheet and word processing software required.
  6. Facilitate communication between all involved parties on a project.
  7. Act as a public relations liaison for the company advising management when customers bring problems to his/her attention.
  8. Maintain professional appearance.

Requirements:

  5. Proficient computer skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  8. Represent the company in a professional, credible manner in speech, written communications and appearance.

Education/Experience:

  1. High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience in construction or related fields required.
  2. Knowledge of construction or contracting industry required, kitchen cabinetry and surfaces preferred.
  3. Ability to work with mathematical concepts and be able to apply those concepts.
  4. Good communication skills (written and verbal). Able to interact with all levels being served. Represent the company in a professional, credible manner in speech, written communications and appearance.
  5. Proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask.
  6. Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills.
  7. Work effectively with others in a teamwork environment to achieve business goals. Influence team members and peers to achieve team goals while maintaining constructive relationships. Also able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  8. Able to adapt behavior to different people and situations. Being flexible by adjusting interpersonal approaches appropriate to managers and co-workers.

Physical Demands:

  1. Position requires bending, twisting, stooping, and lifting of up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  2. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and distinguish colors.
